Platform settings
To update any of the following settings, from your Studio go to Settings > Platform settings.
Open registration
Enable open registration to allow users to log in to your application (on one of more of your DTAP environments) without an invitation. For more information, see Open registration.
Use newest form version
Forms that use newer features are constructed slightly differently in the browser than forms that do not. This affects the following features:
- Placing fields next to each other
- Top/right labels
- CSS classes on fields
- Displaying picklists as checkboxes or radio buttons
Enable this setting to ensure that all forms are built using the new approach (using "flex" in CSS). This is useful if you have applied custom CSS that must be the same on all forms or if you are bothered by the difference between the two different variants.
When this setting is enabled, all forms are displayed using the new approach (including forms that do not use the features listed above). If this setting is not enabled, only new forms are displayed using the new approach.
Before enabling this setting please note that:
- Old custom CSS may fail due to changes in the DOM.
- Forms may no longer match older screenshots exactly.
Business day settings
When using the date
template function you can add or subtract business days, hours or minutes. By default, business hours are defined as 0900 to 1700 in the environment's time zone. Use this setting to specify a different start and/or end time.
Grid use
The grid widget has been updated to provide a number of new features, including displaying totals of the values in grid columns, and update the design.
To use the legacy version of the grid widget by default, enable legacy grids. You can also switch an individual grid widget to the legacy version: from the grid designer, expand the hamburger menu and select Swap grid type.
AI use
Grexx Assistant (Grexxie) uses artificial intelligence (AI) to provide answers to your questions while you're working in your Studio. To allow Studio users to use Grexxie, you first need to enable AI options. For more information, see Work with Grexx Studio.
Collaboration settings
To be able to see when another Studio user is logged in and working on the same casetype, dataset, template, or other element, select the relevant collaboration type:
- All cases: Display a user icon on the taskbar whenever another user is also logged in. If another user is viewing or editing the same element (such as the same casetype, dataset or template) as you, the user icon is colored. Otherwise the icon is gray.
- Same case only: Display a user icon on the taskbar only if another user is logged in and viewing or editing the same element (such as the same casetype, dataset or template) as you. Note that the icon is not displayed if you and another user are viewing the Studio homepage.
- None: Do not indicate when other users are logged in to the Studio.
Once you have updated this setting, each user will need to log out and log in again to see the effect of the change.
Feature flags
Feature flags allow you to choose whether and when to enable particular features in your Studio.
The Studio Explorer feature allows you to organize the objects in your Studio (i.e. the different casetypes, datasets, templates, picklists, roles, platform attributes, and plugins) into custom groups. For more information, see Studio explorer.
